MED
BOU DIAF MIDDLE SCHOOL Level: 4AMTime: 1H30 The Holy Month of Ramadan Ramadan is the
ninth month in Islamic calendar. All adults must fast Ramadan.
They are
not allowed to eat or drink between dawn and sunset. Fasting strengthens a
person by increasing his self-control.
It also helps a Muslim to
remember Allah and his obedience to him. Some are excused from fasting. Some
may be too old or too ill. Others are on journey. Women who are expecting or
nursing a baby cannot fast. Aid Al-Fitr comes after Ramadan. Muslims all over
the world celebrate it. Muslims enjoy themselves with friends and relatives.
